Daniel Lee Stout July 16, 1954-December 3, 2025

Dan Stout passed away on December 3, 2025 in Newport, Washington.
Dan was first born son to Don and Viola Stout. He has survived by his siblings Esther Watson, Patrick Stout, Dale Stout, Darla Derting and Don Stout. Along with his children Danny Stout, Michelle Sobaski, Chad Stout, Patrick Stout and Allen Stout.
In 1967 Don and Viola Stout and their six children moved to North Idaho where they settled in Spirit Lake.
Dan was a bright and passionate student at Lakeland high school and then joined the Army at age 18. He finished basic training, but due to RA and health issues was honorably discharged.
Dan went on to travel and explore much of the United States and beyond. He made friends wherever he landed but was unable to stay in one place for too long. Later in life he settled down on a farm/ranch in Newport, Washington, close to his siblings, where he was a caregiver for an elderly friend and loved taking care of the horses and different animals.
Dan was dearly loved by all who knew him! He was fun loving and charming. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others smile. He was a sweet, fun and loving father and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor in the summer of 2026.
