Obituary

Craig D. Swenson, 87, of Elk, WA, passed away on July 10, 2023, joining his heavenly Father, God, in eternal life. Craig was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion.

Craig had a passion for motorcycles and was a member of various Christian clubs, including Chariots of Light, organized by Jerry Savelle Ministries of Crowley, TX. Together with his fellow club members, Craig embarked on many miles of rides, dedicated to spreading the message of Jesus to those who were lost. His commitment to ministry was unwavering, and he touched the lives of many through his efforts.

Known for his compassionate and generous nature, Craig had a remarkable ability to uplift others. Whenever someone was feeling downhearted, Craig would go out of his way to help them forget their problems, bringing laughter and joy into their lives. Countless individuals would express their gratitude, saying, "You made my day." Additionally, Craig selflessly volunteered for Meals On Wheels in Newport, WA, for five years, finding great reward in serving others.

Throughout his life, Craig actively participated in his local churches, serving as an Usher and an Elder in various congregations in Spokane. His faith was a guiding force, and he found solace and purpose within his religious community.

Craig cherished his wife, Ann, with whom he shared 58 beautiful years of marriage. Their love was a testament to the power of commitment and companionship.

Craig is survived by four children (previous marriage): Pollyne (AKA Lyne) Lamb, Jeffrey, Mark, and Matthew (Tara) Swenson. Sadly, Craig is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Suzanne. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory with them.

No service will be held. In a heartfelt message to his wife, he lovingly referred to her as "my buddy, my pal, my friend, to the very end…"

Craig's departure leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
