Cleo Dwayne Goss was born in Riverside, CA on April 17, 1940, and died peacefully at home in Oldtown, ID on August 13, 2022.

His parents were Cleo Arden Goss and Wilma Theodore Snow. He was raised by his amazing stepfather, Jim Fontaine, He had a brother Billy, and a sister, Darlene.

He married Laura Evaunn Imel on May 7, 1959. They had three sons, Jim (Sara), John (Barb), and Jesse. Cleo has 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Cleo was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, both siblings, and youngest son, Jesse.

He spent most of his life as a hardwood flooring contractor and trained his 3 sons in the trade. He also has 4 grandchildren who own and operate their own hardwood flooring companies.

He enjoyed motorcycles/trikes, fishing, and outdoor activities. He loved to fish/camp at Mardon resort in Othello, WA beginning in 1978, which became a family tradition that continues today. Cleo built his last home in Oldtown, ID, by hand, at the age of 65.

A loving family man, Cleo was known for his wry sense of humor and a bit of a stubborn streak!

Cleo and his wife, Laura, traveled extensively all over the U.S. on their home-built VW trike, they put thousands of miles behind them including one of his "bucket list" locations, Sturgis, SD.

Cleo loved God, loved his country, and most of all, loved being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, He will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched.
