Christa Richardson

1943 to 2023

Christa grew up in Berlin. Her thinking was influenced by WWII, the Blockade, and the Wall. In 1968 she immigrated to the U.S. She also lived in the Philippines where she experienced a culture quite different from her own. In 1982 she settled permanently in the Spokane area.  Her goal has always been to accept people regardless of religion or race and to create community. Her favorite jobs lend themselves to this. She was the Director of International Student Affairs at Whitworth University and later the director of the Corbin Senior Activity Center. Her proudest achievement besides giving birth to her beautiful children was procuring grants for the Corbin elevator. Christa is survived by her son Marcus Richardson and his wife Nina and her daughter Andrea Sitton and her husband Adam and her children. A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 2-4 PM. At Trutina Clubhouse
