Obituary

Charles "Scoob" Martin (43) of Wellpinit, WA Passed away August 18, 2023 in Springdale, WA. Scoob was born to Rosa Martin and Kurt Brigman in Spokane, WA October 24, 1979. Scoob was a graduate of Cusick High School. He played junior varsity and varsity football and basketball for Cusick High School. Scoobs love for basketball didn't stop after high school and continued on throughout his life. Scoob could always be found on a court somewhere, usually at Hoopfest. Scoob played for many years in Hoopfest with countless friends, family, nieces and nephews.  It was always common for you to hear his mom yelling from the crowd "follow your shot Scoob!" and it continued on with other family after her passing. Scoob also loved hunting, fishing, shooting pool, golfing and telling stories.  Scoob's biggest love was for kids, none more than his own children and granddaughter.

Scoob is survived by his two sons Darren Jarvi and Kayliss Martin, two daughters Diamond Abrahamson and Chanel Abrahamson, granddaughter Alexandria Jarvi, Fiance Amanda Gavin and two stepsons Wyatt Gavin and Timothy Irwin.  Scoob also had his godchildren Katherine Martin, Sal Wynne, Emory Jamison, Blu Wynne and Ethan Wynne. Scoob is also survived by his sisters Marla(Paul) Mackey, Bobbie Jo Wynne, Judi(Josh) Jamison, Shannon Brigman. Cousins Jeff Ford, Jerry "Bubba" Martin, Travis Wynne and numerous nieces and nephews. Scoob is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and grandmother Bill and Louise Martin, and mother Rosa Martin, his aunt Ann Martin, uncles Tony, PJ and Jerry, brother Josh Brigman, cousins Tony Wynne and Blu Madera.  Scoob will now and always be remembered for his friendliness, his infectious laugh and sense of humor.

A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, August 22nd at 7PM at the Camas Center on the Kalispel Indian Reservation with a funeral service to follow on Wednesday August 23rd at 10AM. With burial to follow at the Kalispel Tribal Cemetery.
