Obituary

Brian James Walker was born at Newport, WA on October 18, 1987 to Bernard Eugene Walker

and Frances Marie Anne Walker. He attended school in Priest River, Idaho. He earned his GED

before attending Carpentry school at North Idaho College.

Brian worked a variety of jobs over the years, including carpentry, logging, and sawmill work.

His favorite job was running the edger at the Idaho Forest Group sawmill, where he worked at

the time of his death.

He had many interests, including hunting, fishing, horn hunting, huckleberry picking, and

exploring back roads. He loved to volunteer and to help people. He belonged to the Priest Lake

volunteer fire department and helped with other organizations, even when he wasn't a

member.

Brian is survived by his mother, Frances Walker, his grandmother, Florence Apels, his Aunt Niki

Traverse, Uncle Jim Morton, and aunts Carol Walker, Judy Dobler, and Vicky Wright. His

father, Bernard Walker died on Sept 18, tragically just 8 days before Brian.

Brian walked hard roads earlier in his life and put in a lot of work to turn his life around. He was

in a good place, with a job that he loved, a truck that meant a lot to him, as it was previously

owned by his grandfather, and with activities that he loved. Probably the thing that meant the

most to him is that he met the love of his life, Correna Westphal, 2 years before his death. It

meant a lot to his family to see him so happy and loving toward her and to know that he was

truly happy. In one moment, Brian went from being a person to becoming a memory. We

hope that he is a memory we will treasure forever.

There will be a service at West Branch Bible Church, 3703 State Highway 57, Priest River, Idaho

on Saturday, Oct 8, at 1 pm. There will be a potluck at the church following the service.
