Beverly Ann Sherman of Newport, WA passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 80 on May 21st, 2020. Beverly, or Bev, as she was known, passed in the presence of her loving family. Bev was born on December 26th, 1939 in Twin Falls, Idaho but raised in Oklahoma. She returned to Idaho in the 1970's with her young family where they lived as homesteaders in the Priest Lake area. She was known for her sharp, dry wit, her love of mystery novels, science fiction, and British TV. She could make a mean pitcher of iced-tea, was a skilled cook, and was imbued with the tough spirit of her Okie ancestors. Bev was an open and accepting person with a big heart. She was lucky enough to have 6 children and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, all who will miss her dearly. A private family memorial was held on May 29th in Idaho, and her ashes will be returned to where her parents, who preceded her, rest in Oklahoma. She is survived by four of her children, Willa Lee Sherman, Scott Kendle, Brad Kendle and Lilli Kendle. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren and several family members back in Oklahoma.
