Beverly Ann Henry was crowned her halo on August 17, 2022. Born on May 6, 1949, to Eleonora Burrows and William Henry, she was 73 years old. Born with cerebral palsy, doctors warned that she'd never bear children. She birthed 3 of us! Diagnosed with breast cancer, doctors warned that it may not be beatable. She fought relentlessly and beat it! A heart attack in 2010 revealed 4 clogged arteries. Doctors warned that a quadruple bypass for her came with tremendous risks. She not only came through it like a champ but was sitting up eating breakfast the very next morning! Trapped in an apartment fire in 2019, doctors warned that her diabetes and congestive heart failure will make it difficult for her burns to heal. In true Beverly fashion, she said "watch this" and made a full recovery! The strongest woman we've ever known, she defied the odds her entire life. She is truly an inspiration to us all!
Outside of her family and closest friends, her greatest loves were God, playing Bingo and Yahtzee, listening to her country music, traveling, collecting porcelain dolls, and most especially crocheting. Most of her life she crocheted beautiful works of art for anyone she took a liking to and blankets for every new baby born into the family right up until her fingers could no longer work the crochet hooks.
If ever you wonder if angels truly walk among us, she did! Beverly Henry had a heart much too big for this world. She loved EVERYONE and didn't have a speck of hate inside of her. There is no such thing as a stranger and she literally DID give even when she didn't have much herself to give. We lost a huge part of ourselves on August 17th and the world lost one of its most beautiful souls.
