Bernhart, Ben F, Garayalde Owings. age 65, passed away in this sleep on August 7, 2025 at his
home in Oldtown ID. He battled with kidney disease for a long time and was finally set free to go fishing
or where ever he wants to go.
He was a lover of nature, he loved to fish, hunt and be in the Mountains. Ben was a Miner most of
his life. Underground Mining and Placer Mining were his passions.
Ben is survived by his wife, Maureen Owings, his son Joshua Owings and Karen Coombes. His
Daughter Jessica Owings and Toby Norton, his sister Melissa McKenzie and husband Ed Mckenzie.
Servieces will be performed by Sherman Campbell Funeral and Cremations Services of Newport,
WA on August 15th 2025 at Noon. Services and burial will be at their home at 283 S. Rena Rd, Oltown
ID. Ben will be buried with his Mom Inga Garayalde. Friends and Family are Welcome to attend. Ben will
be missed a lot.
