Barbara Jean Reames

Barbara Jean Reames was born on September 15, 1943, in Spiro, Oklahoma, to Robert and
Katherine Evans. She was one of six children and grew up surrounded by family and
faith—values that would always remain at the center of her life.
After her family moved to California in search of a better life, Barbara met the love of her life,
Raymond, in the most unexpected way—on a school bus. Though Barbara was three years
his senior, Raymond was immediately smitten. Their love story truly began a few years later
when Raymond's family moved next door, and a courtship soon followed. They were married
on September 3, 1964, and shared 61 proud and devoted years of marriage.
Barbara and Raymond were blessed with two children, Raymond Jr. and Raegena. Barbara
was an incredible homemaker who devoted herself fully to caring for her family. Nothing
brought her greater joy than time spent with her grandchildren—Christine, Scott, Samantha,
Mariah, and Jesse—whom she loved deeply and cherished always.
Her faith was a vital part of her life and guided her with strength, grace, and compassion.
Barbara was known for her loving heart, her dedication to her family, and the quiet steadiness
she brought to those around her.
Barbara Jean Reames passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, with her two children
by her side. Her beloved husband, Raymond, remained faithfully beside her throughout the
day, just as he had been throughout their life together.
She will be deeply missed, but her love, faith, and legacy will live on in all who knew and loved
her.
