Arden Roy
Arden Roy, 78 years old, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on September 23, 2021 in Newport Hospital in Newport, WA.

This world is a darker place without the brightness of her smile and the gentleness of her touch.  Arden will be sorely missed by all who knew her and loved her!
A loving wife and mother, Arden is survived by her husband of 38 years, Rick Roy, her brother John Vanderkam of Kerreville, TX, son, Dean Schremp of Newport, WA, Daughter, Lisa Nott and her spouse Chad Nott of Lake Stevens, WA.
Grandchildren: Kristin Travers, of Port Angeles, WA. Jessica Ulett of Pensacola, FL Brittney Stauffer and Brandon Stauffer of Costa Mesa, CA. Titus Schremp of Seattle, WA. Daniel Schremp of Oregon, Sarah Nova & Nathan Nott of Lake Stevens, WA. She is also survived by Great Grandchildren: Danielle & Nicole Campbell of Newport, WA, Jack Daniels Ulett of Pensacola Fl. Abby Travers of Port Angeles, WA.
Arden was born in Downers Grove, Il. On April 27, 1943, parents were Arend & Anne Vanderkam.

She moved to Newport in 1984 and quickly fell in love with our little town, and the beauty our creator has blessed us with here in the Inland Northwest. Every day was special in some way in her eyes. God's beautiful creation was waiting to unfold just around the next curve in the road.  She loved flowers and gardening and making the world a more beautiful place. All of God's creatures were special to her and she loved many "fur babies" during her years.
Arden rapidly became involved in our community. She was Church Secretary of Newport First Baptist for over 20 years. A great lover of music, she sang with and participated in Northwoods Performing Arts for over 35 years.  Most importantly she loved the Lord Jesus and was currently attending Real Life Ministries in Newport.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Oct 16, 2021 at Pine Ridge Community Church at 1428 1st Street, Newport, WA. Service will be conducted by Pastor Jared Horton from Real Life Ministries, Newport.  The memorial service will be live streamed to our Facebook live and YouTube channels. https://www.reallifenewport.com/
